As well as Acetal brand names it also know as the following industrial names including polyacetal, polyoxymethylene (POM), which is a high performance engineering polymer. Acetal is available as a homopolymer (POM-H) or copolymer (POM-C). Aluminium 1000 Series (1050A)
The 1000 series alloys are the purest forms of aluminium, resistant to chemical attack and weathering, easily worked and welded, but have the lowest strength of the aluminium grades. The 1000 series are often used in chemical processing equipment and other applications where material purity is important. 1000 series aluminium is highly ductile and is used for metal pressings of all types. 1050A H14 Sheet specifically is known for its high purity (99.5% minimum aluminium) and excellent corrosion resistance.

Aluminium 6082 T6 & T651 Plate
6082 is a medium-strength structural aluminium alloy with good corrosion resistance and excellent machinability. We stock it as plate in both T6 and T651 temper. T6 is solution heat treated and artificially aged. T651 adds a controlled stretch after heat treatment to relieve internal stress, which leaves the plate flatter and far more stable once material is machined away from one face. That is why T651 is normally specified for tooling plate, jigs, fixtures and precision machined components, while T6 is used where the section is not heavily machined. Typical applications include machine parts, jigs and fixtures, tooling plate, structural sections and transport components. Cut to size on our saws with no minimum order, and full mill test certificates are available on request.

Aluminium Alloy 5083 - Marine Grade
Aluminium 5083 is known for exceptional performance in extreme environments. It is highly resistant to attack by both seawater and industrial chemical environments, making it the go-to choice for marine and offshore applications. 5083 has the highest strength of the non-heat treatable alloys, but is not recommended for use in temperatures in excess of 65°C. Aluminium Alloy 6061 - Aerospace Grade
Aluminium 6061 is one of the most widely used alloys in the 6000 series. It offers a good combination of strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance. Originally developed for aircraft structures, 6061 is now used in a wide variety of structural applications. 6061 has excellent mechanical properties when heat treated to the T6 temper and provides good workability in the annealed condition. Aluminium Alloy 6082 - T6~T651
Aluminium T6 6082 Alloy is a medium strength aluminium alloy that provides amazing corrosion resistance and is commonly used for application jobs that require light to medium strength. Aluminium 6082 is the strongest of the 6000 series alloys. Aluminium t-6 6082 aluminium alloys bring together great rust resistance and strength after many different types of heat treatments. It also remains strong and rust resistant after forming and welding. Aluminium 6082 is the most common heat treated alloy plate from stock. In plate form, 6082 is the alloy most commonly used for machining. It can be found in a number of construction and building projects such as trusses, bridges, cranes, and high quality ore skips. It is also found in highly stressed applications like beer barrels, milk churns and has a huge range of transport applications. As a relatively new alloy, the higher strength of 6082 has seen it replace 6061 in many applications. The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy. It is difficult to produce thin walled, complicated extrusion shapes in alloy 6082. The extruded surface finish is not as smooth as other similar strength alloys in the 6000 series. Aluminium Alloy 7075 - Aircraft Grade
Aluminium 7075 is one of the highest strength aluminium alloys available. It has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and is ideally suited for highly stressed structural applications in the aerospace and defence industries. 7075 was first developed in Japan in 1943 and was immediately used for airframe structures in World War II aircraft. Aluminium Alloy 7075-T6
7075-T6 is a high strength alloy originally developed for aircraft and aerospace applications, often referred to as “aircraft grade”. The main alloy ingredients of zinc and copper make 7075 one of the highest strength aluminium alloys available. 7075 in the T6 temper is stronger than most mild steels. 7075 is considered to have good machinability, good corrosion resistance but is not good for welding. Aluminium 7075-T651 has similar characteristics to T6 but goes through an extra process to relieve some of the stresses in the material. H13 Tool Steel (1.2344)
H13 is an air hardening chromium die steel. The higher vanadium content ensures increased resistance to heat checking and all round improvement to properties at elevated temperatures.

High Speed Steel M2

Hot Finished Seamless Steel Tube
Hot Finished Seamless (HFS) tubes are a cost-effective option for applications where the tighter tolerances of CDS are not critical. They feature a rougher finish but offer great machinability and are suitable for many processing techniques. Available in a wide range of sizes for structural needs. Standard: EN 10297-1. Outer diameters from 50.8mm to 660mm. Wall thicknesses from 4mm to 100mm.

Stainless Steel Sheet Grade 304 (Sheet, Plate, Tube, Mesh & Bar)
Stainless steel types 304 and 304L. Type 304 is the most widely used and versatile of the stainless steel grades. It is also known as 18/8 (18% chromium 8% nickel). It is available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other of the 300 grade stainless steels. 304 has excellent forming and welding characteristics. AISI 304 stainless can be deep drawn more severely than Types 301 and 302 without immediate heat softening, a characteristic that has made this grade dominant in the manufacture of drawn stainless steel parts such as sinks, splashbacks and saucepans and other hollow-ware. Type 304 stainless steel also has outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required to restore the excellent performance of this grade in a wide range of mildly corrosive conditions. Type 304L does not require post-weld annealing and finds extensive use in heavy gauge components where freedom from carbide weld precipitation is often required, including stainless steel 304 sheet. All stainless stock can be delivered mirror polished if required.

316 Stainless Steel is commonly used for food processing equipment, and as surgical stainless steel. 316 is also know as marine grade stainless steel due to its higher resistance to chloride corrosion compared to type 304. 316L is an extra low carbon grade of 316, often found in stainless steel watches. Its resistance to chloride attack means it is often selected for use in marine atmospheres. 316Ti includes titanium for heat resistance, a typical application would be flexible chimney liners. 316 stainless steel is a molybdenum-bearing grade. This addition gives the better overall corrosion resistance properties than type 304and higher creep strength at elevated temperatures. Structural Steel S275 (Universal Beams, Plate, Channels)
S275 is a structural grade steel with a minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm². This grade of steel, along with S275JR, is useful for many general engineering and structural jobs and comes in a variety of forms, such as a plate, flat bar, and even a round bar. Though this grade isn’t as strong of a steel as S355, it functions as a great welding metal and has good machinability. If request our company is able to flame cut a profile into a sheet of S275. S355 steel is a low carbon steel whose specifications offer high yield strength. The average minimum yield for S355 steel is 355 N/mm² giving its name: S355.
